Saturday's Mini Codices
Here is today's installment:
- I definately plan to start listeing to the Narrow Mind, an Unchained Radio podcast
- If you haven't already, start using Foxmarks in order to let your Firefox web browser bookmarks span multiple machines.
- The Hapiness Project shares some good principles in office design that will help keep employees happier.
- Have you ever wanted to be a hermit?
- This looks singularly amusing and weird: "An essay on the propagation of the gospel : in which there are numerous facts and arguments adduced to prove that many of the Indians in America are descended from the ten tribes"
- If you followed my last post about ethics and exceptional cases, here are three interesting scattered links which speak about some related issues:
- A Christian View of Ethics
- On Lying by Augustine
- Ethical Choices: A Case For Non-Conflicting Absolutism
- Interestingly enough, this religious principle (Taqiyya) authorizes Muslims to lie about their faith in order to save themselves from physical danger. That belief is not universally accepted among Muslims, though.
- The Thoreau Reader had some of Henry David Thoreau's writings
- Ever wondered if you are a cynic? Check this out.
